We list on Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com and Expedia, and we’re glad you can find us there. But if you’ve already decided you want to stay with us in Southern Oregon, booking on WanderLodges.com is simply the better deal — and it’s worth understanding why.
No guest service fee
This is the big one. The major marketplaces add a guest service fee on top of the nightly rate and cleaning fee — a percentage of your booking that goes to the platform, not to the people looking after your stay.
Book direct with us and that fee is zero. Same house, same beds, same Hannah answering your messages — minus a charge that was only ever paying for the introduction.
Compare a like-for-like booking across a few nights and the difference is usually the price of a very good dinner in Ashland. Sometimes two.
You’re talking to the actual owners
WanderLodges is a two-person operation. Hannah handles every reservation and guest interaction personally; Kyle handles the systems that make it run smoothly. When you book direct, your message arrives with us — not in a platform queue with a canned-response timer attached.
That matters most when something is non-standard. An early arrival, a late flight, a question about whether a particular home suits your grandmother’s mobility, a dog you weren’t sure about — these are conversations, and they go better when you’re having them with the person who holds the keys.
Flexibility a platform can’t offer
Extended stays, special requests, room combinations across the Peerless, or a rate discussion for a longer booking — all of that is possible direct and largely impossible through a marketplace’s fixed structure. Email Hannah at hannah@wanderlodges.com and just ask.
The same properties, the same standards
Nothing about the stay changes. Keyless self check-in, high-speed WiFi, fully equipped kitchens, easy parking, premium toiletries and fresh towels — identical whichever route you take. Check-in from 4 PM, check-out by 11 AM, with early check-in often available on request.
The only difference is how much of your money ends up with a platform instead of with the valley you came to visit.
